JOSH SOROKACH is a writer living in New York City. In 2015, Josh teamed with Abominable Pictures to turn his New York Television Festival-winning script Semi-Charmed Life into a TV pilot starring Ryan Hansen, Noël Wells, Illeana Douglas, Allan McLeod, and John Ennis. Josh has completed the advanced sketch writing program at the UCB Theatre and has written numerous articles for Decider, Uproxx, Splitsider, Above Average, MTV, People's Choice, and Barnes & Noble.
Josh has written twenty TV pilots that range from good to yikes to oh brooooother. Beginning in 2013, he was hired as a script doctor on various projects and brought in to develop a TV series for a well-known production company before eventually working with Abominable Pictures to produce Semi-Charmed Life. If you're a fan of '90s references and a Cat Greenleaf joke no one outside of NYC will understand, read on. PERUSE JOSH'S SCRIPTS >
Before joining Decider in September of 2016, Josh freelanced all over the world... via his tiny apartment in New York City. If you're looking for a deep dive into the Tamagotchi-laden abyss known as '90s pop culture, you've tracked down the correct Josh Sorokach — and probably the only Josh Sorokach because his last name is kinda weird.
